About Buckinghams
Buckingham has a long history of engineering excellence. Our founder, J. F. Buckingham was an inventor and engineer, and, before the First World War, produced a successful racing car called the 'Buckingham Chota' which used to regularly compete in hill climbing events and beat such well known marques as Alpha Romeo. The 1919 Motor Show saw the Buckingham range of motor cars exibiting as one of 49 British car manufacturers actually attending the show! As we know, many have since disappeared or were later absorbed under the main banners we see today.
