Falklands Buckaloo
Our first ever order was for a trailer mounted vacuum sludge tanker supplied the Falkland Islands Government in 1988. Over the years since then we have provided a range of tankering equipment to the islands, including fuel and water bowsers. The latest addition is a 4500 litre demountable single compartment Buckaloo, to be strapped or bolted to an on territory 4x4 Iveco flatbed truck, enabling this vehicle to swop our bodywork with a demountable gritter in the winter. This is a larger capacity Buckaloo and features an electric start petrol engine driving a 141 cfm exhauster/compressor, with suction hoses and a spreader plate with remote operation completing the package. The photo on our front home page shows the unit being unloaded at a Southampton container depot (utilising the standard fork lift slots) ready for the 7800 mile journey to Port Stanley!!
